昌江核電是全省唯一的核電項目。一期兩臺機組已累計發電超500億千瓦時。核電二期工程、核電小堆等項目正有序建設推進，未來建成商運後總裝機容量達380.5萬千瓦，將使昌江成為全島名副其實的清潔能源基地。

Changjiang County has an unique advantage in industrial development in Hainan. The famous Shilu Iron Mine has the highest grade iron ore in Asia. 97% of cement clinker in Hainan province was produced here.

Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant is the only nuclear power project in Hainan province,and its first two units have generated more than 50 billion KWH of electricity. The second phase of nuclear power project and small nuclear power reactor are under construction in an orderly manner. In the future,the total installed capacity will reach 3.805 million KW after these projects are completed and put into commercial operation,which will make Changjiang a veritable clean energy base for the whole island.
