當地時間9日，聯合國人權理事會第57屆會議在瑞士日內瓦開幕。中西區議員楊哲安18日晚在聯合國人權理事會第57屆常會第16次會議上視頻發言。楊哲安表示，很高興地告訴大家，由於《香港國安法》的實施和完善地區治理後，香港在各個方面都加快了發展步伐。

　楊哲安説，有些項目多年來一直陷入政治僵局，現在已經完成。以海濱長廊為例，7.4公里的無欄杆梯級式步行區現已完工，人們可以沿着海濱散步、漫步、跑步。

　楊哲安指出，另一項將惠及香港所有居民的政策，允許非中國籍香港永久性居民可申請內地通行證，無論其種族如何，都可以獲得這張通行證，以便在香港和內地之間無縫、最方便地旅行。楊哲安説，認識很多正在申請的朋友，他們都說會更愛香港。因此，請您到香港來看看新的發展環境。非常感謝!

　Hi this is Jeremy Young, District Councilor from Hong Kong, I am pleased to inform you that Hong Kong has stepped up the pace of development on all fronts, thanks to the national security law and the fine tuning of the district governance model.

　There were projects that were stuck in political stalemates for years that are now complete. Take for example the harbor front promenade, 7.4 KM of undisrupted pedestrianized zone is now complete. People can enjoy walking, strolling, running along the harbor front whilst knowing you are perfectly safe.

　Another initiative that is going to benefit all residents of Hong Kong; the new China Travel Permit. We allow permanent residents of Hong Kong irrespective the ethnicity of the individual to obtain this permit that allows seamless and most convenient way of travelling between Hong Kong and the mainland borders. I know a lot of friends who are applying and they say they will love Hong Kong even more.
